After much mental debate I decided on this past Wednesday that I would run the Plymouth 5K. So I got out my running shoes and ran (as best I could) my first practice 3 miles. The hills around my house are completely killer. I miss Iowa. LOL! I Made it back home in about 35 minutes.
So this morning I rolled out of bed just before 7 to go register and stretch for the "big" run. I discovered I like the 3K runners atmosphere. Everyone was laid-back, jovial, and the weather was a perfect 65 degrees (minus a light rain shower in the middle it was sunny), and best of all everyone seemed to be making an effort towards the em-betterment of their health.
And off I went. Only walking for a short period of time in the middle of the 2nd mile. Hills?-yes Rain?-yes Fun?-yes Will I do it again?- yes. I got goose-bumps in the middle of the race, I was proud of myself.

LOL! All you hard core runners amaze me. And I don't mind if you giggle about my (in reality- VERY small) accomplishment. (I'm giggling too --at it's minuteness and how out of shape I am...) But I'd say finishing with a 32:42 min. time isn't bad for a first-timer.
Cheers to good health and happy people!
